Weekly Gratitude 2018 34/52

gratitude

The weeks just seem to be rolling by. I blink and it’s another Sunday. There doesn’t seem to be time to pause during the week and when I take a breather on the weekend, it feels like it’s not long enough. Here are some things I am grateful for from 19th August to 25th August 2018.

Introducing the boyfriend’s dog to the cats for only the second time and seeing them learn to tolerate each other for a few hours. Well, at least Pebbles was okay even if Buttons kept hissing

Buying myself flowers

Making a decision regarding my career

Having supportive people in my life to be able to bounce off my thoughts regarding making the above the decision

An interesting talk on the role of arts in health on Thursday night followed by dinner and catch up with a friend

Staying up till almost midnight on a weeknight to finish a book because I just had to know what happened

Back at the gym after a week off

A really good yoga class on Friday night

Saturday brunch and markets with a friend

Saturday night in with the girls – good chats, fun with my friend’s dogs, good food

It’s been a full on week at work but relatively good otherwise. It’s been hard to ignore the shit that’s happening in our country and quite disheartening, to be honest, but I’m also not completely surprised.

How was your week?

Do share!

Good to hear about your week. Unless exposed since early on, my experience is that dogs and cats don’t really like each other. You already know that I have a soft corner for dogs. 🙂 Buying flowers for oneself is something I enjoy doing as well. As a matter of fact, gifting myself is something I enjoy a lot. Good to hear about your Yoga session and also staying up to read a book. I know that feeling. My week went quite well too. Husband’s birthday and a short getaway. Lots of family time.

Yay! What fun! Yoga, brunch and night in with girls. All my favourite things!
Which book were you reading? Haven’t read a real good, wake-up-through-night-and-finish-it kinda book in a while!

Your dedication to fitness is so inspiring… I don’t know how you brave this cold ?
Saturday night with girls sounds so cool. It’s been ages since I had one of those.
    Have a great week ahead.

Sounds like a wonderful week! Hope your boyfriend’s dogs and your cats start to get friendly with time. I’ve heard that it takes a while, but does manage to work out in the end!

It;s good to do some things for oneself without a reason to do it. Your flowers reminded me that I picked some flowers from my garden today.
