Courage

a broken heart
a shattered soul
a lost future
memories untold
unwanted endings
unknown beginnings
a promising life
now seems unnerving

she takes a breath
sheds copious tears
her broken self
she does nurture
with self-love
and still with fear
she’ll brave horizons
new and unsure

Very realistic, especially acknowledging that there may still be some fear, that being brave doesn’t mean there is no fear. Loved it.

I don’t think being brave is about being fearless…it’s about feeling the fear and doing something anyway. It’s what helps me get through life in general I think
