Weekly gratitude 2018 10/52

gratitude

Happy Sunday everyone! I’m back home and trying to get back into my routine. The best thing about getting back has been seeing the cats. The worst has been having to try and get chores done. Oh well. That’s life. Anyway, it’s time to reflect on the week gone by and all that I’m grateful for from 4th March to 10th March 2018.

Listening to some wonderful authors at the Adelaide Writers’ Week

Stand-up comedy on Sunday night – Dave Thornton was really funny

Watching the Parade of lights after the comedy in the CBD

Exploring the city of Adelaide – the river, the parklands, the gardens, the shops

Wine tasting and a three-course lunch in the Barossa Valley and buying a whole bunch of wines

Starting to see the change in the leaves signifying autumn

Exploring Victor Harbor, McLaren Vale and Port Elliot – all beautiful places in South Australia

Relaxing by the beach, soaking the sun and swimming

Watching the sunset

Reading two wonderful books – The Choke by Sofie Laguna and When breath becomes air by Paul Kalanithi. One was fiction, one non-fiction but both heart-wrenching and emotional. Reviews to come soon

Coming home to two cats who pleased to see me return to do their bidding

Having my Microprose picked by the editors of YeahWrite. I look up to the writers who enter and win each week and the editors themselves who are wonderful writers so this is truly an honour

I’m looking forward to getting back to the gym from tomorrow and seeing my friends and colleagues at work. I am also looking forward to seeing some of my clients again.

Oh, and thanks to some writers and bloggers I look up to {Jodi and Shailaja, I’m referring to you}, I am venturing into videos on Instagram. It’s mainly about focussing on goals around writing and fitness, sharing some great reads from the week and snippets from life. Unlike them, I’m not on Facebook as for now, I don’t think I want the videos out there for eternity! 😛 Do join me on Instagram and leave feedback. It’s how I can learn 🙂

I hope you’ve had a good week.

Let me know how it was for you.

Until next time,

Through your Insta account, I could explore the beauty of Adelaide to a certain extent. Congrats on having your microprose picked up by YeahWrite! All the best for the Instagram videos. Having seem a glimpse of it and hearing your soothing voice, I know you would ace it. Can’t wait to see and hear more of you <3
