Goodbye Summer

my toes in the sand
the sun on my face
the smell of the ocean
the sound of the waves
a swim in the water
a book by the sea
picnics and barbies
ice creams and beers

the long summer days
i’ll surely miss
as days grow shorter
the air, a bit crisp
the leaves turn red
the water, slightly cool
as autumn approaches
with its splendid hues

Even if you will miss summer now, Sanch, the words you have chosen so beautifully make the entire change look so appealing….something to look forward to!
    Pretty picture!
