Weekly Gratitude 2018 7/52

gratitude

Happy Sunday everyone! My post is a bit late today because I’ve only just returned home an hour or so ago. This week has been interesting — frustrating the first few days but then, a long weekend away helped. Without further ado, here are some things I am grateful for from 11th February to 17th February 2018.

Learning to make gnocchi from scratch at a friend’s place

Sunday afternoon laughs and good food with friends

Really supportive friends at work as I was going through a hard time with some personal shit occurring

Getting a beautiful ring on valentine’s day even though I don’t really celebrate it in any way

Long chats with online friends on WhatsApp

Heading down to the south coast for a weekend getaway on Thursday night

Long conversations during the almost six-hour journey with the person I headed down the coast. I love long car trips as you really get to know someone!

Stopping at Berry for dinner and fondly remembering the times I’ve done it before with other friends

Just being in the beautiful South Coast – the beaches, the people, the company of the person I’m with – all perfect. I know in my heart this is home and one day in the future, I will definitely move down this way

Visiting the Bodalla cheese factory/ Dairy shed and enjoying the food and ice cream. Also, fondly reminiscing my road trip down here in 2014

So that’s been my week. A little crappy, a lot lovely and currently, just exhausted and ready for bed.

What was your week like?

Do share!

Nice to hear about your lovely week and travel. In Cape Town, South Africa, we are breathing what you call a new dawn after the drama of the National Assembly electing Cyril Ramaphoza as the new president of the nation after forcing president Jacob Zuma to resign. The drama was political but personal too.

Enjoyed reading this positive post, Sanch. But, especially loved reading about FOOD! If you get good food to eat wherever you go, and the company of friends, then your day is made! πŸ™‚

    Hey love,
Sounds like it was shitty but the trip down the coast turned it around and made a world of a difference. Hopefully this week has been a bit better/more manageable for you. This week isn’t so bad for me at work, but talk to me next week and the answer is likely to change. Lol!

Love your ring, it’s pretty. πŸ™‚
