Finding Joy

The grass may seem greener
on the other side,
Filling you with envy
at their easy ride

The bitterness seeps in
at how life’s unfair,
They get all they ask for
while you despair

You spend time comparing
what you haven’t got,
Forgetting to water
your own garden plot

Instead, if you focus
being grateful in life,
Joy in the little things
will soon become rife

So true! We compare our lives with others and despair over life’s injustice. Instead, just focus on our life and try to do the best with what we have been dealt!

Sweet verse. Looking within and finding the good always works. And of course, gratitude is the best thing!

People need to tattoo the third paragraph here on their bodies and look at it everyday.

So beautifully written, Sanch. Great lessons here.

This is so true! Often we are so busy on focussing our attention on others that we fail to pay attention to improve ourselves. Thank you for linking up with #WednesdayVerses

It’s beautiful, Babby. Looking at how beautiful another’s life is, we forget ours is beautiful too, and we need to keep it that way. 🙂 Loved it!
