October was a busy month and yet, one during which I felt quite content. I blogged a lot in October thanks to the Write Tribe Problogger Challenge. I dabbled in flash fiction again and also reviewed a number of books this past month. I celebrated one year of moving up the coast and ten years of blogging in October. I reflected on playing hide and seek as a kid as well as the importance of courage over comfort. Finally, I got back to reflecting on the good things in the week gone by. And you know what? I wonder if that’s what has made a difference in how I perceived the month.
There were stressors at work and in my personal life but there was a lot to be grateful for in October. Friends and connections were a big factor. So too was writing. The outdoors was a huge help as hiking and being out in nature is a great stress-buster. Reading was therapeutic too. And most importantly, prepping for NaNoWriMo was exciting.
I’m looking forward to November – NaNoWriMo is going to be interesting this year as I have roughly plotted what I want to write. I have also signed up for 12wbt Lean and strong to help me tone up and eat healthy and it starts on Monday. And, best of all, I have a week off in the second-last week of the month during which I hope the weather will be kind so I can enjoy the beach, the cats, write, work on the garden, read and just relax. My focus for November is gratitude and hopefully, there will be a lot to be grateful for. Chances are my blogging will be less and mostly on Fridays and Saturdays due to my NaNoWriMo commitment.
How was October for you?
