All about the mind

Lost

I stare into the future. I cannot see a thing. There are paths. Several of them. They intertwine, crossover, go straight and wind around. They confuse me. I realise with a sense of trepidation — I’m lost.

It’s how I feel. Or rather, have been feeling.

I wondered if the sea-change was the answer. The move away from the hustle and bustle.

But maybe not.

Because no matter how far you go, you cannot escape  yourself.

You cannot escape the demons within.

You cannot lose them.

This line ‘Because no matter how far you go, you cannot escape yourself.’ is so true. Hauntingly so.
I guess sometimes we need to take a long hard look at the mirror and have that conversation we avoided for so long.

Yes, and it’s a long long conversation!

Very pensive live, Sanch. You are introspecting and reflecting. I do have many such conversations with myself. We can brush others aside and say that all is fine but there is no escaping our own selves. Hope all is well.

Hugs, Sanch. That feeling of being lost can be overwhelming if we don’t address it in time. I do hope you are taking good care of yourself. Escaping the demons of self-doubt and worry are the most challenging things ever.

Hugs! There are battles within and we need to fight them for ourselves and no one else. It’s not a change that’s needed but a conversation maybe.

Hauntingly beautiful words, Sanch. But I feel like, we shouldn’t need to escape ourselves. Not saying I haven’t ever felt that particular need, I have. But not only is it not possible, it’s kind of self-defeating as well. I like to believe that there are always alternatives.

Hugs, Sanch. We can’t ignore the demons forever, but sometimes, we should just let them be. Keep breathing, and deal with them once we’ve regained the strength to do it.
