Is it May already? I almost forgot it was a new month until it was bedtime yesterday. April seemed to just zoom past!
April was an interesting month for me. I tend to enjoy it due to all the public holidays we tend to have. The long weekend for Easter is always good — no one can beat four days! And this year, we were lucky to have great weather. Then there is the holiday for Anzac day which this year, for me ended up occurring during a week off.
In April, I kept busy on my writing blog by participating in the A to Z challenge. I wrote 26 different poems based on the poetry forms. I’m hoping to compile them into an ebook along with some additional poems. After all, it did take a lot of effort unlike most of my blogging! Consequently, things were a bit quiet on this blog. It was complete silence though.
I introduced curiosity as my emotion for the month and enjoyed taking photos of me getting curious and exploring this month. I will admit, I moped a bit in April while I missed my home – the Sutherland Shire. I also reflected on loneliness and have yet to respond to all the wonderful comments that the topic generated.
It wasn’t all doom and gloom as I shared my local beach and reflected on positive weeks. And of course, best of all, I enjoyed my holiday hiking the Great Ocean Walk in Victoria. I only got back home on Saturday night and will soon post about the hike and experience itself. However, as you can probably guess, most of the photos here were from the hike! 😀 I also got to meet my friend in Melbourne the day before the hike and spent time with her one-year-old daughter, and then, a blogger friend and her family in Melbourne on Saturday after the hike.
Anyway, it’s time now to look forward to May. I’m focussing on amusement and fun in May as my positive emotion but more on that tomorrow. The best thing though, is my team leader returns next week so I no longer have to be in the acting team leader role!
If you have a post reflecting on the month gone by, feel free to link up below for ‘The Month that was’.
How was April for you?
Until next time,
