10 things that made me happy {Week 26}

It’s my first 10 things post for 2017. I’d meant to blog last weekend but having a guest over made it kinda difficult to go online. Plus, offline life was quite good last weekend. How has 2017 been for you so far? I’m enjoying it. And even though there have been some bumps along the way, for most part, I’m still trying to focus on the positives and what’s going well. Of course, I’m very aware January can be a honeymoon period for most so let’s see what happens in the coming weeks. In the mean time, here are 10 things that made me happy between 7th January and 13th January 2017.

Having my friend C visit from the UK

Spending Saturday exploring a bit of the Lake Macquarie area. It’s beautiful up there!

Playing Harry Potter Scrabble and winning

Setting some professional goals at work during my three-month review

Having a super-supportive team leader who is very encouraging

Being creative on the writing blog

Meeting for the book club during the week

Homemade mango lassis on stinking hot summer days

Pale ale on the same summer days

Receiving some wonderful early birthday gifts from my sister

So even though I had a meltdown about my body and a couple of other things, it’s not been too bad a week.

How was your week?

Do share!

***Linking with Lindsay, Charlotte and Krysten for 10 things that made me happy***

Until next time,

Cheers!!!

    Hey girl,
The picture of your feet and the water is me jealous over here. Erin has been bragging how hot it is when I’ve whined about how stinking cold it is here and yeah, send some of that stuff over here please. 🙂

I hope you’ve had another great weekend girl, on or offline. 🙂

    Have a great week hun!

It sounds like you’ve achieved loads so far, and a really good mixture of things too. I love exploring new places, and games, and cold drinks on hot days too 🙂

So far January’s been a bit of a damp squib, quite literally. The weather’s miserable here and we’re just trying to gear up for our big move (to your neck of the woods!), so it’s admin crazy. Trying to keep my eyes on the (sunny and warm) prize!

Happy Potter scrabble sounds like fun as does the sound of mango lassi on a hot day. You’ve got pretty feet :-).
