Gratitude

10 things that made me happy {Week 21}

The last time I wrote one of these gratitude posts was back in January just after I’d started my job at the school. Since then, things got crazy, the job didn’t work out and there have been several changes. And while I initially thought I’d restart this series in the new year, I figured being grateful doesn’t need a new year. So here I am again writing about 10 things that made me happy from 26th November to 2nd December 2016.

Attending my friend’s wedding

Exercising three times this week

Stealing Secret Santa at work

Psychology Christmas lunch at work

Receiving my presents from my online Secret Santa through #FMSgiftexchange

10things3dec

Making homemade sugar-free muesli

Receiving my Filofax refills for 2017

Getting the pest control guy come and do his thing to get rid of cockroaches and spiders

Starting to blog again this month

Watching the beautiful colours of the sunset

What things made you happy this week?

Do share!

***Linking with Lindsey and Krysten for 10 things that made me happy and with Sammie, Paula and Karin for the Ultimate Rabbit Hole***

Until next time,

Cheers!!!

Has it REALLY been since January!? Holy goodness, really? Wow, I knew time flew but I wouldn’t have guessed that long.

Sorry to hear the job didn’t work out. Sometimes that’s just how life goes right? Pick yourself back up again and keep on truckin’, my dear.

I hope you have a good week my friend and again, really nice to see you again girl. 😉

    Hello Sanch

The concept of “…only when I STOP pursuing what I want, do I ever get it” never stops to amaze me! The idea of “attracting” what I desire by simply being myself … and not being aggressive or pursuing … is so freeing … and so “against the grain” that I must keep reminding myself of it. And of how easy it is!

Happiness is what I want the most, but there are so many other things I want … love, respect, time, money, success … on and on and on. So, one of my new habits for this year is to STOP pursuing the things I want, and START just being myself. Just freeing (or allowing) myself to be exactly who and what I am!

I wish you all the best of luck.

I am glad that before the year end you got to do this gratitude post 🙂 sorry the job didn’t work out but I hope now you are at a better place. The sunset picture is simply out of this world. It gave me such a wanderlust that last weekend we drove to blue mountains to watch a sunset 🙂 wish you many more happy times.

If you ever come up to the Central Coast, give me a shout out. That sunset was at Long Jetty…lovely place to catch the sunset. Next on the list is to catch a sunrise. 🙂

Is that the present? The cat? I feel like I have been an absent blogging friend of late. It looks like your sea change is treating you well.

Love this! And what made me happy … 1. Watching my nephew play in his bouncy chair. 2. Christmas shopping with my fiance. 3. Seeing Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella with my sister. 🙂

Hope you are enjoying the new place and new job Sanch. I am having a really horrible year. With the kid sick all the time, job taking a toll and I am stuck in a job which I am not liking. 🙁 🙁 I should probably do these posts just to come out of my depression.

Why, you had quite a fulfilling week! What do you mean by “Stealing Secret Santa at work”, though?

Stealing secret Santa is quite funny. Basically everyone puts their gifts in a pile in the middle and we all pick numbers. The person who is 1 goes first to pick a gift from the pile, opens it and shows everyone. Person 2 then has the option to pick a gift from the pile or else to ‘steal’ Person 1’s gift. If Person 1’s gift is stolen, they get to choose another one from the pile. It continues this way until everyone has a gift.

Ooh…That’s new, at least, to me. Might be something to try next year (our party’s this Friday, too late to plan for something like that).

…I was about to say “May I ask, how does one go to steal someone else’s gift? and what if s/he doesn’t want to part with it? ” when I remembered, “DUH. Google?” He he….
