Tiny Shoes

A room set
For their bub
Wooden cot
White bathtub
Yellow walls
Dangling plane
Frilly blinds
For the pane
Red tiny shoes
Dazzling bright
Lacy dress
For the night
Bear and doll
For her play
Pink blanket
For each day
Room unused
Since last spring
No kid’s cry
Just nothing
Parents grieve
Child stillborn
At what’s gone

Thanks Inderpreet…I don’t know why but sad themes seem to appeal to me. I must be nuts!

Just as I was beginning to fall in love with the room the end hit me. Sad.

Must admit I feel like a sadist. Or is that a masochist. Constantly writing sad stuff!

This one hit a bit too close to home for me. Reminded me of my chemical pregnancy. But it’s heartbreakingly true for so many people. Sigh.

Ohhh Sanch , sweet sad one but then life is such. I had two mis-carriages after my first child and I can fully relate with the build up of hope and emotion and then …..

I like the short crisp sentences… and it ended up saying so much with those little words! But yeah a little sad…
