If we were having coffee 18 June 2016 #WeekendCoffeeShare

Welcome! Make yourself at home. Would you like a cuppa or prefer a tea? I do have hot chocolate as well for this cold winter morning.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how I was initially planning on camping this weekend. Unfortunately, after the rain from two weeks ago, the unsealed roads to where we were headed have deteriorated and four-wheel drive access has been recommended. Then of course, we also found out about rain forecast for this weekend and the thought of staying dry indoors appealed to us all. With the camping trip now postponed to August, I’m trying to fill in my weekend with a balance of laziness and activity.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how I went to a concert last night to see Karnivool. I’m practically in love with their front man Ian Kenny and after two-and-a-half years, it was good to go see them play live again. I went with my previous housemate Z and once again, got to stand right up front. This morning, I’m a bit deaf in one ear and still sore from all the head-banging but it was worth it.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how I finished reading A Little Life this week. It only took me 10 days to finish this massive 700-page book. It was so captivating and kept you hooked throughout. A detailed review will come up soon on the blog. Have you read it?

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you I’m sick of my job. I’m looking at what else I could do but sometimes, I’m not sure. I’d love to write, I still like parts of what I do as a psychologist but I also wonder whether I need a bigger change. Fear and self-doubt obviously hold me back from applying for things I think I may not get.

If we were having coffee, I wouldn’t just be talking about myself. I’d ask you how you were doing and what you’ve been up to.

How have you been?

Do share!

If we were having coffee-I’d treat you-to tell how I landed a contract as a consultant for a week and paying good money. I am seeking and getting fulfilment as a freelancer, hoping to get more so that I can pay my bills. I’d tell you so many things about the Deepak Chopra book I am reading and wanna explore the world.

    Have a lovely weekend

If we were having coffee, I’d…Nah. Don’t want to bore another person with my life problems, he he. I would tell you, though, that I finished a book as well, Sue Monk Kidd’s The Mermaid Chair 🙂

I hope you can resolve your job problem soon.

I can relate to the whole who am I? Job/life conundrum. It can do your head in….leaving mere mortals in need of psychologists, I guess.
How are you faring in the cold? I’ve become such a wimp…16 degrees tonight and I feel like it’s -10 degrees celsius.
Hope you’re having a great week.
