If we were having coffee 11 June 2016 #WeekendCoffeeShare

If we were having coffee, I’d invite you to sit on my new couch for a cuppa. If you prefer, however, I do have herbal teas and even some delicious hot chocolate. As we sit on the grey couch — very different from my previous red set — I’d probably tell you how I’ve opted for fabric this time over bonded leather or suede to see if it’s better for cat hair! So far, I’ve kept the cats from scratching it too, which seems like a miracle given the state of the previous couch.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you about my annoying neighbours. They live directly upstairs and have been a pain since they moved in August 2015. They play loud music, sometimes till 3 in the morning, scream, shout, have no consideration for others, and litter the common area with their cigarette butts. I’ve requested nicely to keep it down, complained loudly at them once at 3 in the morning, and have even called the police another time when it went on till 2 in the morning. Yet, nothing has changed. Last night, I emailed the strata manager with a complaint because I was just so bloody tired.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you I’m having a slightly better week. My mood hasn’t been flat this week. Probably just frustrated with work. But I have been setting small goals and making plans to do things which helps.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you about the Vivid Festival that’s currently on in Sydney. Mr Imperfect and I went and checked it out last night and we were not disappointed. As always, the lights on the Opera House win the top prize for me. I was mesmerised by the colours and the designs. In spite of the crowds, it’s not too hard to squeeze through and get a good look at things. I love the energy and the atmosphere and it certainly lifted my spirits even more.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how excited I am to be going to see The Living End in concert this weekend. The last time I saw them was in 2012 so I’m thrilled to hear their new stuff but also their amazing old music.

If we were having coffee, I’d also tell you how relieved I am that it’s the long weekend. Even though I am working on Saturday morning, the fact that I have Monday off, is a big deal. Hopefully I can catch up on my sleep given that my cough throughout the week has resulted in restless nights.

If we were having coffee, I would of course, ask you how things have been.

How was your week? Getting up to much this weekend?

Do share!!!

How I love weekends. It’s only on a weekend that I have the luxury of a late night because it means I can sleep in tomorrow. This is going to be an agenda free weekend. Good to hear you are better. Hope you get to catch up on your sleep.

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you how envious I’am that you are seeing the living end! And about how I have a girls dinner tonight and no idea what to wear! I’d tell you that I hope those crazy neighbours calm the farm a bit and you did the right thing complaining to strata! Happy long weekend lovely! Xx

Quiet today, movies and dinner with friends tomorrow and then family Monday…Vivid last night. I was informed I was the only one who liked it (what’s with my kids???)

We used to have similar neighbors too. It really gets you down over a long period. Hope it gets better for you soon!

If we having coffee, I’d agree with you that inconsiderate neighbours are the worst! Then I would complain loudly that it’s not a long weekend here in Queensland, but I would say that it’s a beautiful warm winter day, and be happy for that. x

If we were having a hot chocolate, because I don’t drink coffee you see, I’d tell you that I too am looking forward to the long weekend! After months of report writing at work and being struck down with a migraine and tonsilitis this week, a weekend at the beach is just what the dr ordered!

Sanch, I enjoyed our chat. I have been doing a bit of soul searching and trying to get things more sorted at home, after writing 63.000 words in April and ignoring way too much around me. I bought a book called “The Life Plan” this week which I’ve mentioned in my coffee share post. It’s written in a workbook style, which I like. It just seeme dto offer so much in a simple book. White cover, gold writing. I picked it up from Kiki K … like quite a few of my good intentions, though I have used their weekly schedule sheets a lot.
Although I know our Winter is mild, I am freezing tonight. We don’t have the heater on but still. Why couldn’t the warmth of that sunshine today just linger around a little bit longer?
Hope you have a great week & enjoy the long weekend!

Thank you so much for the coffee. Annoying neighbors can make life rough. I hope you get that sorted soon, or that they somehow and suddenly learn to be better neighbors. If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I have two cats and have to deal with cat hair too. I’ve tried different things and have come to the conclusion that there is no easy way other than to become accepting of their hair (although not to the point I don’t at least try to deal with it).

Loud neighbors are a problem. We had one who came over whenever we had company. She damaged the stove whenn she moved out. Wishing you a better week.

If we were having coffee I’d probably be incoherent with jet lag. Jet lag aside, if we were having coffee, we’d compare notes about which Vivid version of the opera house we’d like best, bemoan those nightmare neighbours (here’s hoping strata pack a punch) and sing the joys of the long weekend. I’m a bit jelly that you got to see The Living End, the last time I saw them was at Splendour in 2004!
