A to Z of me

It’s been a while since I did a whimsical post about myself. When I came across Debbie’s blogfest on 26 random things about yourself, I figured it’d be a nice chance to have a short and sweet post about me. So here’s the A to Z of me.

A- Age: 32

B- Biggest fear: Where do I start? Being alone, being abandoned, failing, death of loved ones, snakes and spiders. For more on some of these, you can read my confessions.

C- Current time: 8:11 p.m.

D- Drink you last had: Peppermint tea. It’s so cold I had to warm my hands and my body!

E- Every day starts with: A groan at having to wake up and go to work. This is then followed by peeling myself off the bed and eventually reaching for a cup of coffee. And then, on most week days, braving the cold to get to the gym.

F- Favourite Song: Just one?

G- Ghosts, are they real? Who knows? Maybe…

H- Hometown: Bombay. Mumbai. Whatever you prefer to call it.

I- In love with: my cats

J- Jealous of: People working from home or even close to home. I’m over commuting! To be honest, I’m kinda over working where I’m at.

K- Killed someone: Totally…in my head.

L- Last time you cried: Given that I’ve been depressed for a while, this isn’t a rarity any more. So the last time would be last night.

M- Middle name: Nothing

N- Number of siblings: One

O- One wish: Right now it would be to have a more flexible job as a psychologist in order to be able to pursue my love for writing and be able to make a career out of that.

P- Person you last called: My parents last night to wish them for their anniversary

Q- Question you’re always asked: Have you only been in Australia for 11 years? I thought you were born here…

R- Reason to smile: Funny cats, cat videos, the beach, lovely people

S- Sounds that annoy you: My neighbours upstairs who play their Bollywood and Punjabi music way too loudly and speak just as loudly.

T- Time you woke up: Set my alarm for 5 but eventually woke up at 6:20.

U- Underwear colour: Orange

V- Vacation destination: a) Favourite so far: Cairns {and I hope to go back!} b) Wish List: Rest of Australia, Greece, Scotland, Ireland, England, New Zealand, South Africa.

W- Worst habit: Overthinking and catastrophising

X- X-Rays you’ve had: Several for my teeth in the past and most recently, when I rolled my ankle. I had to get x-rays and ultrasounds. Thankfully, it was all clear.

Y- Your favourite food: I’m going to take the liberty and use ‘cuisine’ for this. I love Indian cuisine…it’s the only thing I truly love about the country.

Z- Zodiac sign: Capricorn. When I was younger, I’d read Linda Goodman’s star signs book and one thing about Capricorns still remains with me. It was about how the Capricorn child has a routine for even their bowel movements. Can’t say I disagreed with that!

Would you like to take this on?

If so, do share your post!

Hello there from another Capricorn. This was fun. Oh and I know about the overthinking. It’s the bane of me too.

I just may take this on one day! Fun and informative!

PS I’ve totally killed several people in my mind. It’s a good thing those people can’t read my thoughts or they’d probably get a restraining order against me!

Okay I just wandered in here from the bloghop and thought I would say hey, and ask politely how it is a psychologist comes to be depressed with her job. If you were around me, you’d know my first thought was “What, you can’t bring home samples?” But between knowing life is more complicated than that, and realizing as I typed it that it sounds like I’m suggesting bringing home pharmaceuticals (which I REALLY didn’t intend), I’d say the stupid comment guy in the back of my head is having a Monday.

I did one of these a while back. I enjoy them. I enjoy learning random tidbits of people’s lives. My commute is far too. I just focus on the fact that it is built in reading time to my day.

Interesting tag. Nice to learn more about you Sanch, though I guess I knew most of these facts about you(having followed you for so long). Even I wish I could work from home 🙁

Thanks for joining the blogfest, Sanch. 🙂 It was interesting to learn more about you. When you said it was cold, I’d forgotten for a second that you’re having winter now, while we are enjoying summer. Australia is a bucket list item; must plan to visit when it’s winter here. I hope you will find a better job, soon. Unhappiness at work permeates everything else. Good luck with your writing!

Nice to meet you and learn so much about you at the same time! We share a lot of fears, especially the snake thing. I have a lot of Capricorns in my life. Steady and sure are their very nice qualities and off-set my watery Aquarian habits. I’m in the TMI, but I screwed up and didn’t use the permalink. Here it is in case I can’t change the link in time.

My post goes up July 6. Hope you’ll stop by and read out all my AtoZ answers.

Now that peppermint tea does sound refreshing. I might have to give it a on one of these hot July days. Great to meet you through this hop. I’m late in getting around to say hi because we’ve just had a new baby in our family and I absolutely had to take a break to go and meet him.

Entertaining read, Sanch! Lucky, I read this meme in Darshana’s blog and that’s the wonderful start! 🙂 I understand the travelling to work part. I used spend 4 hours a day travelling to work. By the time I am home, my mind is so set to sitting that I did nothing other than sitting on the couch before having my dinner! 🙁

A job near home is the best thing that could happen to us! 🙂 All the best with that!
