If we were having coffee 30 April 2016 #weekendcoffeeshare

If we were having coffee, I’d ask you if you like it black or with milk. I’d offer to make some with my coffee machine except I’m out of pods. You see, I’m perfectly fine with my filter coffee. In case you weren’t a coffee drinker, I’d offer you my selection of teas — Australian black, peppermint, pomegranate, green, rooibos, red mint vanilla, citrus or even a chocolate tea! We’d sit on my ratty lounge that’s falling to pieces and have a good ol’ chat. I’m sure Pebbles and Buttons would occasionally come up and distract us but it’s usually fun when they do.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how the long weekend last week was quite lovely. I’d tell you I did end up going to the Blue mountains and it was gorgeous in autumn. The colours of the trees with their hues of red, orange and yellow overpowering the green, were just incredible. I’d tell you about the magnificent Three Sisters and how I never tire seeing them. I’d tell you that even though I was really flat that day, just being in the mountains soothed my soul.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how I went back to work on Tuesday this week and how the students are back as well. It’s been exhausting after barely four days and I’ve missed two days of gymming this week thanks to being tired. I did go for a swim though at the local pool and realised how much more my swimming needs to improve — I couldn’t even finish a single lap without stopping.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you I went to the physiotherapist to help with my weak ankle. The same one I damaged during the hike over Easter. Turns out, there’s been some soft tissue damage. I’ve been given exercises to do and he’s taped my ankle up. It’s not a pretty sight and I can’t wear heels but I’m hoping it won’t be too long before I can slip into my long boots again. With heels!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you I’m off camping this weekend. I won’t be hiking thanks to my ankle but it’s still great to get out in nature. It’s exciting because it’s with friends I haven’t camped with before. And one of whom is being very brave and camping for the first time ever. We are keeping our fingers crossed it doesn’t rain though.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you I’m enjoying noticing random acts of kindness around me. I’m also trying to be kinder myself. For instance, when we were in the mountains last weekend, there was a big crowd on the train both ways. But on the way back, when we were waiting to get back at Katoomba, a girl told us where exactly to stand on the platform so we’d be right after her getting into the train and therefore, finding seats pretty quickly. How nice was that?!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you I’m still confused about life and that I’m still wanting to move out of Sydney. I’d tell you about the properties I’ve been looking at online that are down the coast and wondering. Just wondering.

If we were having coffee, I’d ask you to tell me all about your week and how you were going.

So tell me, how have you been?

Oh, I love these coffee posts. If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how happy I am that you’re going camping, you can do my share ‘kay? We’re also leaving the city this weekend but I’m staying in a cabin because camping is my nemesis! If we were having coffee, I’d say how fun it was to catch up with my bloggy buddies and ex-work colleagues this week. And I’d also tell you how I’d been baking a lot, licking the beaters like it’s going out of fashion, and wishing there was such a thing as invisible calories! Happy weekend! x

Just wanted to stop by and say how much I’ve been enjoying your blog. You seem to be touching on all the points that I’ve been pondering about lately too. I’ve been watching sea change – the Aussie sitcom from the 90s. Still makes moving to the coast attractive though.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I love filter coffee. I like my tea and coffee with milk unless it’s lemon honey or tulsi tea.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I’d a busy April and I’m looking forward to a much relaxed May.
I’d tell you that the sooner it rains in Bangalore, the quicker I’ll be able step out for a getaway. It just feels long since we stepped out 🙂

Chocolate tea?! Sounds intriguing! Hope you have had a good time camping and that the weather has been kind to you. It’s been raining here, in fact my neighbours went away camping for the long weekend and came home this morning due to the weather!

I think I’d enjoy coffee with you. This summer, I am planning a hike with my sister. I live in Minnesota in the United States. I will be 49 years old this summer and I’m not so in shape. So we’ve been talking and decided to set up our camping gear at the campground and then hike 4 miles in and 4 miles back each day. Sort of like we were walking on the trail, but then sleeping in our comfy beds and not having to carry all our overnight gear. (The cheater’s way). Brilliant, huh? We thought so.

I used to love camping. I still love the outdoors and hiking, but I like staying in a hotel with a hot tub! I love random acts of kindess. Good luck being kinder, especially to yourself. It really does start there.

If we were having coffee I would tell you how confused I was when I first began your post. You see, I didn’t realize you were in the Southern Hemisphere and since we have Blue Mountains here as well, I couldn’t understand how you were seeing autumn colors there while I’m enduring spring showers here!! Silly me!
Now that I am clear on that, I hope you enjoy your camping trip. I only camp when there is a camper with a bathroom and a soft bed but I know real camping is done in tents. We visit a beautiful national park each summer and “camp” near a mountain stream. It’s breathtaking and the air smells so wonderful!
Thanks so much for the coffee. Have a great week and take care of that ankle!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you how I’ve never been camping and would love to go someday soon. I would tell you how I’ve been struggling to blog regularly since I started working full time in Feb. I’d tell you how happy I am that I’ve managed to find a dance studio near my place and have been going there twice a week since last month.

And I’d tell you to take care of your ankle and not stress much. Love

Enjoyed this coffee share. Hope your ankle heals soon! When I first read your “Blue Mountains” comment, I thought it read, “Blue Ridge Mountains,” and I thought it cool you lived near me in North Georgia. However, now, I realize you are on the complete opposite side of the world! I’ve always wanted to go to the Blue Mountains. Maybe one day, I will have that chance. They are absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing coffee with me, and I’ll see you next week. 🙂

If we were having coffee I think I’d pour my heart out ass I need a little girlfriend advice. I am ashamed to admit I have never been to the Blue Mountains and really want to go.

Great to run into a fellow Aussie for coffee. My kids both do Scouts and are quite accustomed to camping and packing but I haven’t been for over 20 years and need to edge my way into in.
I love the Blue Mountains at this time of year but it’s been a few years since we’ve been up there.
Are you watching Masterchef? I am hooked.
Hope you have a great week and thanks for the coffee.
