Out and About

Wordless Wednesday: Box Vale Loop Hike

A couple of weekends ago, I went on a hike after what seems like a long time! It was good for the soul and just what the mental health professional ordered. The company is always good and well, just being around nature does wonders for me. We hiked about 14 kilometres and completed the Box Vale Loop which is close to Mittagong in the Southern Highlands. It was a relatively easy walk except for one bitch of a climb that seemed to go on forever.

I’m glad I didn’t have to work that glorious Saturday. I have also decided that this coming weekend, I’m going camping. That’s definitely been a while — the last time I camped was during the Overland Track in December-January!

What do you do to nourish your soul?Β

Do share!

***Linking with Trish for Wordless Wednesday and Corinne for September Challenge***

Until next time,

Cheers!!!

I love going for hikes definitely, there’s something special about being in the bush. We did a short little bushwalk yesterday for the first day of Spring, such a beautiful day!

What beautiful photos! Spring is in the air and I can’t wait for it to warm up a bit more here in Canberra. Nature walks truly do nourish the soul. Thanks for sharing! =)

My wife and I would always trek and do hikes whenever we could. However, all that has rolled to a stop with the little one now taking up most of our free time. We’ll have to rediscover the time for that once he grows up, I guess. Lovely captures, Sanch.

Amazing colors in your wonderful photographs, Sanch! The mountains and the ocean hold a special place in my heart for reconnecting with nature. And, since I live in Kentucky, the mountains are a lot more accessible than the ocean, but there are some great rivers and lakes.
