It’s been a busy, busy, busy day for me. In fact, the entire month of April has been busy and May seems to have started off the same way. But now, I finally get a chance to sit in front of my laptop. I have a few days off the next week mainly to work on some assignments that are due the week after.
So, April. That really sped by, didn’t it?
I had signed up for the A to Z Challenge in April and I managed to complete it without too many problems. Towards the end, I struggled with replying to comments on my blogs and visiting other blogs but I intend on commenting on other blogs in the days to come. In case you missed my A to Z of Phobias in the form of limericks, you can check them out here.
Apart from the challenge, I was trying to figure out if I should merge my two Facebook accounts. I bit the bullet and did it. I also had a Foot care giveaway on this blog which ended yesterday. I have to go through Rafflecopter and pick a winner. Whoever you are, you will find out by Sunday. 🙂
Not much else happened on the blog front. But life was busy. Mr Imperfect had his birthday and we enjoyed a dinner with friends and an adventure at Tree Top Adventure Park. I also had a fun weekend picnic with some friends, a movie night at another friend’s place, a bowling and karaoke night to farewell yet another friend and finally, wrapping up with a friend’s birthday on the final day of the month. Did I mention I was quite social in April? And of course, there was university. We did have a break for two weeks but I also had an essay and then, a presentation due. I now have two short stories to write as well as a creative non-fiction piece on Clementine Ford.
Finally, I also took the plunge and enrolled in the Magazine Writing Course 2 at the Australian Writer’s Centre. It started on the 20th of April and is for 5 weeks. I’m still trying to find those extra 24 hours a day. Work, meanwhile, has been as crazy as ever. It’s been pretty busy and doesn’t help that I’m going away on holidays for 6 weeks from the 1st of June. Yes, this time next month, if everything goes to plan, I will be flying up in the air en route to San Francisco.
I just know May is going to be crazy with me wrapping things up at work and uni and trying to be social and shop a bit before I leave for holidays.
How was your April?
