A to Z Challenge

Reflections on the A to Z Challenge 2015

A-to-Z Reflection [2015] - Lg

I completed the A to Z Challenge six days ago. Unlike last year, I didn’t lose sleep over this challenge and wasn’t rushing till the last minute to complete some posts. I was a lot more organised this year and had all my posts scheduled within the first week. These are just some of my thoughts on the challenge this year:

The Good

  • Having all my posts scheduled before time made it so much easier and less stressful.
  • A theme {A to Z of Phobias in the form of limericks} that was short kept it easy too. I just had to write 5 lines for each post as those are the constraints of a limerick.
  • I was able to engage a lot more than last year.
  • I met a whole bunch of new bloggers like Rhonda and Parul and Shanaya among others.
  • I love the community feeling of the entire challenge. But more on that later.

The Not-so-good

While I engaged better than last year, it still wasn’t as much as I’d hoped. That’s because towards the end, uni assignments got in the way. I’m still catching up commenting on other blogs!

The Great

I previously mentioned the blogging community and how awesome they were. That’s the reason I get into challenges like this — the blogging community. Not only does it give me the chance to find new bloggers I will love and follow, it also gives me encouragement and amazing discussions. I have to name  a few bloggers who have been oh-so-supportive with their comments on my blog, their Twitter shares and well, just great engagement throughout. In no particular order, here’s thanks to:

Shailaja from The Moving Quill

Shilpa from A Rose is a rose is a rose

Kaddu from Miss_terious

Eloquent Mind from Life…as it is

Monica from Varan Bhaat

Elly from Express your Essence

Soumya from Life of Leo

Rajalakshmi from Destiny’s Child

Thank you all, as well as others I may have missed. It’s been a great month. And I’m already thinking about themes for 2016. 😀

How did you go with the A to Z Challenge?

Do share!

Until next time,

Great job Sanch for all the reasons you mention. 🙂 I SO enjoyed your limericks as not only were they amusing – most of them – they were ridiculous and unheard of! That is, I learned a lot of different phobias (and here I thought I would be learning different poetry styles from you or did I get my posts confused and you did that prior?) 😉 Thanks for the mention Sanch; however, ahem, it’s ‘Xpress’ (without an ‘E’). 😉 <3

I am so proud of us for having completed this challenge. It sure was not easy.

I learnt about a lot of phobia here last month. And believe me I loved it.

You know Sanch, I’m actually going to do a Ten-On-Tuesday on all the phobias I have. This post will be totally inspired by your theme! 😛 😛 😛

I really enjoyed your A to Z posts, but then, I’ve enjoyed your posts in general, anyway.

Way I see it, we have until the next challenge to finish up with this one. I’ll probably do the A to Z Road Trip and visit as many blogs as I can. I follow a lot of the people I found on previous challenges and alwyws manage to find a few new ones every year, but there’s always room for expansion.

I loved your A-Z posts this year. They were fun and also informative. I dint even know that half of these phobias even existed. Great job.

Absolutely loved your posts, Sanch! Though your posts got to know of so many weird and unheard of phobias!! 😀 I think short posts are the key. They make a win-win proposition for both the writer as well as the readers 😉 Congratulations and well done. And thanks for the mention ♥

Congratulations on finishing the challenge. I’m hoping around the list and the road trip, finding new people and your theme looks awesome.
