The Month That Was

The month that was August 2014

august

It’s the 1st of September today — which means the first day of spring! I’m already noticing that the sun is rising earlier and setting later. Which in my books, is the best thing ever! Sure, Sydney has experienced some crappy rainy weather the last couple of weeks but I am hopeful for a better September.

August has been an amazingly crazy and wonderful month. So much has happened in a short span of time that I am still pinching myself. The thing is, I still haven’t blogged about one of the biggest things that has happened in August. I will do so shortly. I promise. In the mean time, this post should give you a hint. Uni was in full swing in August and I even handed in my very first assignment, It reminded me of how much I’ve loved procrastinating. This August also marked 5 years of home ownership for me. It’s scary and exciting at the same time.

August was a sad time for many of us who grew up with Robin Williams. To hear that he had ended his life was devastating. In a way, it reminded us to be better listeners for our families and friends. And more so, to not have such a stigma about mental illness.

August 2014 for me was full of fun, love, laughter, learning and good times. It has meant being a bit slack on the engagement side of this blog. And I’m not happy with that. I aim to manage my time better but I really need to sit down and plan things out a bit more. I feel like I’m spreading myself thinly over several different areas and not doing anything all that well. Apart from my personal life!

I’m eagerly looking forward to what September has to offer.

How was August for you?

Do share!

Until next time,

Cheers!!!

Tell me about it! I was giving a client an appointment for October the other day. Before we know it, it’ll be Christmas!

We call it “The start of the -ber months,” meaning December is near, ergo, Christmas. Also, it’s getting cold. I woke up early in the morning yesterday and thought I had a fever because I was shivering!!!
