Travel Tales: From Narooma to Tuross Head

If you have been following my Travel Tales so far, you’d know that my last stop was at Narooma. After capturing some amazing pictures of the sunrise, I drove around waiting for coffee shops to open to have some coffee and breakfast. Finally, around 8, I found one open and indulged in a good breakfast. Yes, we will add it to the list of guilt.

Following this, I set off on the road again towards Tuross Head. I stopped at Dalmeny, Mystery Bay and Potato Point Beach to check out some of the beautiful scenery and the beaches. I also stopped at Bodalla to visit the cheese factory and well, buy some more cheese!

After wandering around the cheese factory and the dairy shop next door, I headed off to Tuross Head. It was a spectacular sight that greeted me as I drove in.

Tuross lake

After checking in to the caravan park, I spent the afternoon hiking about 8 kilometres on a relatively easy path. It was great to take in the sights of the beaches and lakes and the sounds around me. Tuross Head is a small town but it felt safe and friendly. The next morning I headed to the beach early as it was right behind the caravan park. I enjoyed some coffee and cake by the lake and spent the rest of the arvo relaxing and reading.

It’s an idyllic little town and I left on Sunday morning after a good couple of days. I made my way to Durras North via Mogo and Bateman’s Bay but more on that in another post.

Until next time,
