It was love at first sight.
We were perfect — intellectually, emotionally, physically. We saw our future after a month together. Even my job as a sexual assault counsellor couldn’t spoil the happiness.
Until I saw the recent referral for a 7 year old abused by her father; the same man: my ‘perfect’ love.
