Again.

Well, given that I turn 30 in January, I thought it’d be a good time to review the 30-by-30 list I’d created 5 years ago and see what worked out well and what didn’t. I had reviewed it once earlier this year so it’d be nice to see the update. It also helps me start planning my 35 by 35 list.
As of November 2013, I have successfully completed 27 out of the 30 items.
Huge cheers, please! 😀
The 3 I’m most proud of achieving:
1. Reaching my goal weight and remaining healthy: I’m super-stoked about this one because I’ve kept the weight off almost 12 months after losing it.
2. Buying a house/unit: Pretty self-explanatory I think. I love my unit. Even if it means I don’t see much of my income as it goes into the mortgage. But it’s been 4 years and fingers crossed, will be longer.
3. Getting my Australian citizenship: Seeing as this was something I wanted since I was a teenager, let’s just say it’s one of the biggest highlights!
The 3 that I didn’t get done {and doubt I will}:
1. Have $6000 in savings: Well, given that this year was my whole ‘out-of-my-comfort-zone‘ year, to make new friends, to continue paying my mortgage and well, buying a new car, that goal seemed far, far away! I’m not even close to having that in my savings! Maybe by 35??
2. See the snow for real: Yeah. Sadly didn’t happen. So I’m going to be 30 and have never seen snow. I guess the only hope would be that when I go down to the Snowy Mountains in December, there may still be some leftover snow. From August. Hah! Wishful thinking! Oh well. Another for the 35 by 35 list I suppose.
3. Learn another language and be able to have a conversation with a native speaker: Ok, so I did honestly try and learn Italian. And I have a good accent and can speak it well — when I have the book in front of me. Once that book is shut, everything seems to disappear.
A 90% success rate isn’t too shabby I reckon.
I’ve already started planning my 35 by 35 list and aim to put it up after I turn 30.
Excited much? Sure am!
Did you have any goals before reaching a milestone birthday?Â
Do share!
Until next time,
Cheers!!!
