The month that was September

Ah September. The 9th month of the year. The beginning of spring in this part of the world. A beautiful time. It’s been an eventful month to say the least. I was excited at the start of the month because there was a lot to look forward to. I went on my first ever camping trip, thereby crossing one more thing off my 30 by 30 list. I also bought a brand new car and named her Penny. I’m loving my new baby. 🙂

The middle of September saw me jetting off to the Gold Coast for the ProBlogger conference. I came back with so much more inspiration but ironically enough, was stuck when it came to writing here for a few days. I think I’m over that hump now. September turned out to be a bit strange in some ways as I met a stranger who read coffee cups. But that led me to meeting another blogger in real life. I’m honestly amused at how life works. The biggest downer in September for me was the election of Tony Abbott as not just PM but also the minister for women. I still feel a chill running down my spine when I think about that.

September continued to be filled with wonderful hikes in the mountains and national parks. And a day at the beach {Hurrah for warm weather!} I really need to blog about all my hikes but I do so many and feel like I don’t have enough time to write it all down! It also marked one year since I moved to self-hosting via WordPress.

October is already looking promising in terms of how busy I’m going to be! I have a 3 day-2 night hike and camp organised for the long weekend. Which I am very excited about. I’m also going to be hiking every weekend. There are 3 more months to the end of the year and in many ways, I don’t want this year to end. It’s been an incredible and amazing year filled with so much self-discovery and adventures. I just hope it continues.

How was your September?

Like me, are you welcoming the warmer weather?

Do share!

Until next time,

Cheers!!!

It’s still cold here in WA, so hanging out for the warmer weather (we are being taunted by little bits of sun in between clouds, wind and rain ugh). Looking forward to October after an *interesting* and *challenging* September.

I feel the same way about this year! I’m having a hard time dealing with the fact that it’s coming to an end. I’m even getting cranky at people’s liberal use of the c-word (Christmas).
