Kitty Kapers

It’s not working out…

…between Pebbles and Buttons. 🙁

If there is food involved, they are calm. If not, Pebbles lunges at him and starts to fight and well, he defends himself and starts to fight back. She seems to be trying to bite him. And at night, despite him being in a different room, she will wake up and stand near his door and meow constantly. Almost as if she doesn’t even want him in that room.

It’s such a shame as he’s an affectionate little fella. Plus I don’t know how much longer I can keep putting them both under this stress.

I completely and utterly underestimated how difficult this was going to be.

So, could anyone out there give a gorgeous little kitten a home and enough love?

Until next time,

I was trying for 2 weeks RM…but they are both so stressed out and I’m not having much sleep which doesn’t help matters with work and everything. It’d be different if Pebbles didn’t cry all night when I’m with Buttons or if she didn’t scratch the door and the carpet (which by the way, looks in a pretty bad state now) or if she didn’t try to call him from outside the door even when he’s on his own trying to sleep or relax.

WOW! that is sad 🙁 🙁

I was told that tension between pets is usually because of the possessiveness towards the owner the first pet feels.

Hope you figure it out. 🙂

Yeah Nids…I’m asking around if friends want a kitten. He’s so adorable and so is Pebs when on her own…I feel guilty for putting both of them through this. I’m certain Pebbles is possessive but then I also wonder if it’s her being territorial as she continues to whinge when he’s by himself in the room…

It breaks my heart Swar as he is so loveable. But in the end, I want both kitties to be happy and loved. I can love both of them but they are definitely not happy having each other around. I have put up on my personal FB page asking if any friends or acquaintances are looking for a pet and can provide him with a loving home. And thanks re the names… 🙂

Tell me about it Comfy…I cried yesterday when I started posting on FB to see if anyone was interested. I would prefer someone I know taking him in but I doubt any of my friends are currently looking for a pet. I wish Pebs would take to him but if anything it seems to be getting worse.

[…] My two fur-babies Pebbles and Buttons share an interesting relationship with one another. A love-hate relationship. With a whole lot of jealousy. Given that they are not siblings, I guess it’s not something to stress out hugely about. Although I’m sure you all remember how stressed I was when I first got Buttons and it didn’t seem like Pebbles would ever take to him! […]
